It’s no surprise that when Mike Brier of Relative Lending asked his wife/Valentine Sharon

Brier of Greenwood King her choice of gift, she selected “a party.” But, as always with this pair, the delight is in the details.

Considering her single and widowed friends, the paired teamed up for special soiree for 25 women featuring a variety of salads, a skit on “worst dates ever” spurring plenty of lively and embarrassing recollection, and Mike covering bartender duties. A select group stayed late for mah jongg and a happy holiday was reported by all.

The game is now one for the record books, but the buzz around the week of “super” celebration continues. John Daugherty, Realtors’ Richard Ray didn’t stop showing homes during that weekend, but he did take time out when Saks Fifth Avenue rolled out the red carpet for its invitation-only “Big Game” Party hosted by Rich Salgado. Hundreds of Houstonians, along with football players and other local celebs attend the event benefiting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

While posing for photos with socialite Carolyn Farb, Ray said the pair agreed that the number of Rolls Royce vehicles coming through the valet was more than either had ever seen at an event here.

Still, Ray said, the attire for the evening was “cool and hip,” with some partygoers in tennis shoes.

John Daugherty, Realtors’ Stephanie Aron Weiss enjoyed partying with a purpose at 30th anniversary of the Winter Ball hosted by the South Texas chapter of the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation. Weiss reported a sea of well wishes and air kisses at the warm “winter” event at the Hilton Americas.

She was there to show her love and support of her mother-in-law Judy Weiss, who was recognized as past recipient of the organization’s “Women of Distinction” award. The event raised more than $1 million.

The Woodlands office team at Martha Turner Sotheby’s International Realty sponsored a bever- age booth for the fourth consecutive year at that community’s “Taste of the Town” event. Agents met and mingled with attendees and handed out koozies and bottle cap magnets.

The community turns out in record numbers each year for the celebration of cuisine and beverages from more than 100 of area’s restaurants, caterers, bakeries, delicatessens and producers. Proceeds benefitted The Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce programs in support of economic development, mobility, health care and education in South Montgomery County.

One of MTSIR’s newest Kingwood agents, Amber Davis, recently was named Women’s Council of Realtors’ Lake Houston Chapter – 2016 Member of the Year.

“Amber has jumped right into the community and our firm. We are proud of her and her award,” said Terri Lemons, community outreach manager. Bernstein Realty’s Lis

Harper and Lisa Yambra said they were inspired by the recent Thought Leaders Luncheon of the Women’s Business Enterprise Alliance.

“It’s always so exciting to be in a room with and meet strong business women, “Harper said.
