Greenwald transfers skills from oil and gas to real estate
Spring is just around the corner and people are already out and about looking to buy properties.
“Property values are holding steady and interest rates remain low. Those on the fence about buying or selling, this is a great time to move forward,” said David Greenwald, a Realtor with Beth Wolff Realtors Real Living. He hails from Shreveport, Louisiana, and has called Houston home since 2003.
Greenwald and Ed Wolff, president of Beth Wolff Realtors Real Living, attended LSU together and were fraternity brothers. After graduation, Wolff went into real estate and Greenwald into the oil and gas industry.
“When I was looking to make a career change, I talked to Ed about it, and before you know it, I had my real estate license. I love this industry and everything about it. Plus, working with Beth Wolff’s team is fantastic. Not only is the name well respected, the team is close knit, and we provide top-notch services. It is a true pleasure to work with Beth Wolff Realtors,” Greenwald said.
Greenwald was involved in offshore construction, vessels, barges, and the business side of the oil and gas industry.
In oil and gas, he continually negotiated contracts, worked with a diverse group of people, and it was mandatory he stay organized. These skills have transferred well to real estate. Greenwald also uses the skills from his Master of Business Administration degree, which benefits his clients.
Greenwald’s focus area is inside the Loop, an area he calls home. He loves all the area offers, including the restaurants, Memorial Park and its golf course, events, and more.
“Yet, I will go where my clients are interested, such as Sugar Land, The Woodlands — wherever they want to go. I also work with all clients, in all price points, from first-time home buyers, to estate homes and everything in between,” Greenwald said.
Greenwald enjoys helping people find a home.
“I find real estate very satisfying, and the height of this is when I hand a client the keys to their new abode. That is what makes my day, when I see their excitement,” Greenwald said.
