ICE received six new applications in February after President Donald Trump took office and revived the Secure Communities program. About 10 more agencies have been in talks or submitted applications since then — mostly from Texas ICE declined to name applicants, but 18 agencies have either applied to join the program or have been actively considering it. according to interviews with Texas sheriffs and the ACLU.
