UT men win 3rd consecutiv­e NCAA swim title

INDIANAPOL­IS — Texas won four of seven events and set NCAA records in each of them Saturday night en route to winning its third consecutiv­e NCAA men’s swimming and diving title.

The Longhorns and coach Eddie Reese won their NCAA-leading 13th national crown with 542 points — 193 points more than second-place California. Florida was third with 294½ points.

Texas shattered seven NCAA records and three American records in its four-day romp to the title.
