Miss Allegra Elizabeth McCarthy Pitt Weds Mr. Hunter Levi Hawkins

Miss Allegra Elizabeth McCarthy Pitt and Mr. Hunter Levi Hawkins were united in marriage on March 25, 2017 at half past six in the evening at the The Argyle in San Antonio, Texas. The double ring ceremony was officiated by the Reverend Jeffrey Hammond of Fredericks­burg, Texas. Music for the ceremony was provided by Monte Vista Strings. Following the ceremony, the bride’s family hosted a reception at The Argyle with music by The Big Swing and the Ballroom Blasters. On the eve of the wedding, the parents of the groom hosted a rehearsal dinner at La Fonda on Main.

The bride, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen McCarthy Pitt of Houston. She is the granddaugh­ter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Radley Pitt of Corpus Christi, and the late Belton Kleberg Johnson of San Antonio and the late Patricia Lewis Zoch of San Antonio . The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Lee Hawkins of Ingram, Texas. He is the grandson of Mrs. Diane Hawkins and the late Mr. Carl Melburn Hawkins of Ingram, TX, and Mr. and Mrs. John Keith Mitchell of San Antonio.

Presented in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a gown designed by Oscar de la Renta. The modified A-line gown featured an off the shoulder illusion neckline with floral organza embroidery throughout provided by Joan Pillow Bridal of Houston.The bride carried a rounded garden style bouquet of Faith, Quicksand, and Coolwater roses mixed with Garden Roses; specifical­ly David Austin Patience, white and pink O’Hara finished with accents of Green Snowball Vibernum.

Serving as Matron of Honor was sister of the bride, Sarita Pitt Francis of Wichita, KS. Flower girls were Niece of the bride Sarah Spohn Kleberg Francis of Wichita, KS and Nieces of the groom Miss Caroline Kate Henry and Miss Taylor Sim Henry of Ingram, TX. The brother of the groom, Justin John Hawkins of Ingram, TX, served as Best Man. Groomsmen were Mr. Jacob Cole Dunaway of Aspen, CO, Mr. Michael Davis Hawkins of Kerrville, TX, Mr. Nathan Henry of Ingram, TX, Mr. Matthew Blair Koury of Jackson, MS, Mr. Jackson Harris McLarty of New York, NY, Mr Barton Neal McLaughlin Jr of Houston, Mr. Gordon Sproul Morris of Dallas, Mr. Bo Ellis Ramos of Atlanta, Mr. Samson St. Germaine of Houston, and Mr. Stephen McCarthy Pitt, Jr of Houston. Brother-in-Law of the bride Mr. Jacob Nelson Francis of Wichita, KS and Sister of the Groom Mrs. Ashley Hawkins Henry of Ingram, TX read scripture during the ceremony.

The bride attended Deerfield Academy in Deerfield, MA and graduated in 2008. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Art History from Southern Methodist University in 2013 where she was a member of the Pi Beta Phi sorority. Following graduation the bride moved to New York City where she received a Certificat­e in Interior Design from Parsons The New School. The Bride is currently an Interior Designer with her namesake firm Allegra Interiors as well as a Realtor with Corie Properties in San Antonio. The groom graduated from Ingram Tom Moore High School in 2004. He received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management in 2008 from The University of Mississipp­i, where he was a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. The groom is currently employed by Wortham Insruance & Risk Management in San Antonio, TX where he is a Producer in their Property and Casualty Department. Following their honeymoon to Italy, the couple will reside in San Antonio, Texas.
