Miss Katherine Elizabeth Sales Weds Mr. Bradford Wiley Kirbo

Miss Katherine Elizabeth Sales and Mr. Bradford Wiley Kirbo were united in marriage on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at seven o’clock in the evening at St. Michael Catholic Church in Houston, Texas. Father Leon Strieder officiated the double ring ceremony. Organist Chris Popelka and Divisi Strings provided music for the ceremony, along with cantor, Leah Johns. Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a black-tie reception at Houston Country Club with entertainm­ent provided by Pure Party Band of Atlanta, Georgia. On the eve of the wedding, the mother of the groom hosted a rehearsal dinner at Brennan’s.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Travis James Sales. She is the granddaugh­ter of Mr. and Mrs. James B. Sales and Colonel and Mrs. Carlos Urrutia II.

The groom is the son of Mrs. Bryan William Kirbo and the late Mr. Bryan William Kirbo. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Perry Donald Green and the late Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm Kenneth Wiley.

Escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a modern A-line silk zibeline gown, designed by Martina Liana. To complement her gown, the bride chose a cathedral length veil trimmed with French Alencon lace. The bride carried a bouquet beautifull­y composed of white roses, lilac, ranunculus, and silver dollar eucalyptus.

Serving as her maid of honor was the bride’s sister, Emily Anne Sales. Bridesmaid­s were Chelsea Dickerson Cooper, Christina Lynn Davis, Grace Evans Dewar, Nancy Kirbo Hollingwor­th, Alexa Catherine Leach, Meredith Lyn Marceau, and Alison Mathilde Webre. Serving in the House Party included Lacy Anderson Ballis, Ashley Elizabeth Callender, Sara Meredith Cummings, Jacy Burrell Hawes, Stephanie Roberts Nixon, Laura Stacy Ramey, Caroline Farmer Reckling, and Hayden Victoria Smith.

Brother of the groom, Brenton William Kirbo, served the groom as best man. Matthew Garfield Decker, Charles Crawford DeWare, Charles Kevin Hollingwor­th, Alan Ridgeway Inman, Tyler Harrison Macchi, James Austin Sales, and John David Vivrett served as groomsmen; and Henry Walton Carter, Frederick Scott Cooper Harries, Kevin George Reuter, Harrison Keith Sales, and Marshall Scott Sales served as ushers.

The bride is a graduate of Memorial High School in Houston, Texas. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Applied Learning and Developmen­t from The University of Texas at Austin, where she was a member of the Pi Beta Phi sorority. Katie teaches third grade at Condit Elementary in Bellaire, Texas.

The groom is a graduate of The Woodlands High School in The Woodlands, Texas. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Financial Planning from Texas Tech University, where he was a member of the Phi Si fraternity. Brad is employed as a Landman through Statoil.

Following their honeymoon in Punta Mita, Mexico, the couple will reside in Houston, Texas.
