Franklin D. Roosevelt once said, “Real estate cannot be lost or stolen nor can it be carried away. Purchased with common sense and managed with reasonable care, it is about the safest investment in the world.”

“I believe the words of Roosevelt. In my 17 years of real estate, I have worked with many people who have bought first and second homes and made a good profit on each one. I believe there is no better investment than owning a home,” said Danny Pleason, a Realtor with Martha Turner Sotheby’s International Realty.

Native Houstonian Pleason grew up in the Meyerland area and graduated from the University of Texas. After graduation, he worked for a tuxedo/bridal company for 13 years.

“I realized that helping people look their best for their wedding was a wonderfully satisfying, so it transcends into real estate in helping clients in home buying or the selling process,” Pleason said.

Pleason has been in real estate 17 years and chose this field, as he knew he would have the satisfaction of helping people with one of the most important financial decisions of their life.

“There’s no greater feeling than handing over the house keys to a client, especially firsttime home-buyers,” said Pleason, who works with clients all over Houston. However, a large portion of his business is around his home turf, which is the Montrose area, where he has lived for the past 25 years.

“The Montrose area is eclectic and vibrant, which I love. I love its century-old bungalows to its quaint coffee shops, award-winning restaurants and eclectic hole-in-the-walls, offbeat bars and music dives, awe-inspiring art galleries and theaters, and funky shops and businesses with plenty of local soul,” Pleason said.

Moreover, it is a great time to buy in this area, close to downtown.

“Houston’s downtown is booming, and being close to the arts, sports, museums, and finest restaurants is drawing more people, from millennials to empty nesters,” Pleason said.

Pleason has been a top producer in MTSIR’s Circle of Excellence since 2007 and is a member of MTSIR Hall of Fame.

The majority of Pleason’s business is from referrals, which speaks volumes of the services he offers. Clients often say the reason for their referrals is because of his patience and that they ultimately trust him.
