Outback opening locations in Katy, Pasadena

• Outback Steakhouse has inked deals for new locations in Katy and Pasadena next spring. The restaurants, totaling 6,500 square feet each, will be in the Shoppes at Parkwest at Interstate 10 and Katy Fort Bend Road in Katy and at Vista Road and Beltway 8 in Pasadena. Jason Baker of Baker Katz represented Outback Steakhouse in the leases. Stephen Tou with Retail Connection represented David Berndt Interest, the landlord in Katy, while Lindsay Schlueter with Glasier Retail Partners represented Sabine 2016-2, the landlord in Pasadena. The new leases will bring Outback Steakhouse’s count in the Houston market to 12. Outback Steakhouse locations in the Meyerland and Champions areas were among 43 underperforming restaurants to close recently by Tampabased Bloomin’ Brands.

• Local Pub & Grill has leased 2,115 square feet in the Shops at Katy Reserve at FM 1463 and Spring Green Boulevard, Katy, from NewQuest Properties. Bob Conwell and J.J. McDermott of NewQuest Properties represented the landlord. George Miller of Lee Howard & Associates represented the tenant.

• Rolling Dough, a franchisee of Panera Bread, has signed a 20-year ground lease for a 4,500 square-foot location at 851 and 857 Dairy Ashford. Matthew Goldsby and Rin Willis of Belvoir Real Estate Group represented the landlord, 929 LLC. David Littwitz with Littwitz Investments represented the tenant. The lease will begin in the first quarter of 2018.

• Tacos A Go Go has opened a location at 910 Louisiana on the tunnel level of One Shell Plaza downtown.

• Ulta Beauty has a new location at 6600 Spring Stuebner Road in Spring.

• Mitsi Dancing School has leased 3,330 square feet in the Cinco Ranch Plaza Shopping Center. Jonathan Aron represented the landlord, Hunington Properties.

• Children’s Lighthouse Learning Center plans to open at 8717 Fry Road in Canyon Lakes West in Cypress this summer. Children’s Lighthouse will open at 14505 Lake Houston Parkway in Summerwood this fall.
