TOBIN DAVID CRESWELL

1996-2017

-

Tobin David Creswell passed away on May 2, 2017 after a ten-year battle with cancer. His young life was full of love, courage, strength, family, friends, laughter and kindness. Tobin was born in Katy, Texas to Darcy and David Creswell on July 5, 1996 just after the Independence Day fireworks celebration. He graduated from Morton Ranch High School in 2014, after which he attended University of Texas at San Antonio studying to be a pediatric oncologist.

He is survived by his loving, dedicated parents, his grandmother, Betty L. Montgomery, his grandfather and wife, David and Beverly Montgomery, his great aunt, Barbara Dick, his aunts and uncles, Laurie and Lem Creswell, Mary Jo and John Creamer, and Jill and Mark Pearsall, cousins, Sloane and David Northridge, and Lauren and David Markaverich, and many, many, many loving friends.

He joins his grandmother Marie Creswell, grandmother and grandfather Edna and LD Creswell, great uncle Ken Dick, and a few sweet friends in heaven.

At the earliest possible age, Tobin’s altruistic spirit shone brightly as he volunteered at Texas Children’s Hospital and the Sunshine Kids, always wanting to make a difference in others’ lives. When facing a third diagnosis of cancer, he chose to put his efforts into starting his own charity to help others with cancer, hoping to leave a legacy and a small footprint on the world.

Tobin was an incredibly funny, smart, kind, inspirational person, always making people laugh. His passion for people (no matter their size shape or color), family, food, cars, and fashion were such a unique mix, he has left a legacy and a lifetime of memories. Although our hearts are sad, the memories of his smile, love, jokes, laughter, sarcasm, kindness, snuggles and smooches will last forever.

Many thanks to so many at Texas Children’s Hospital for years of love and caring for Tobin. In lieu of flowers or gifts, donations can be made to Tobin’s Legacy, We’ll Get This, at www.wellgetthis.org to help other children and families battling cancer. And in his honor, do something nice for someone today!

A celebration of his life will be held in the near future.

Services entrusted to Ridgemont Mortuary.
