Restaurant will have a home in The Star downtown
A new restaurant, called Benjamin, has signed the first retail lease in The Star, a downtown apartment redevelopment of the former Texaco building by Provident Realty Advisors. The restaurant, named for Houston’s Benjamin Berg of B&B Butchers & Restaurant, will occupy an 11,023-square-foot downstairs dining room and a 5,700-squarefoot mezzanine in the historic building at 1111 Rusk and San Jacinto, Edge Realty Partners announced. Debbie Adams handled the lease. The restaurant is expected to open soon.
JLL arranged a $175 million fixed-rate loan to refinance Market Street — The Woodlands on behalf of Institutional Mall Investors. The 493,400-square-foot mixed-use development, managed by Trademark Property Co., contains more than 80 shops and restaurants, plus office space. Tom Melody and John Ream of JLL secured the loan through Morgan Stanley and Wells Fargo. Market Street opened at 9595 Six Pines Drive in 2004.
Stogies World Class Cigars has taken over the former Cigar Cigar location in Sugar Land Town Square for its second area location, according to Planned Community Developers, leasing manager for Lionstone Investments. The 2,826-squarefoot store and cigar lounge is at 2278 Texas Drive.
Lone Star Market, a 8,007-square-foot retail property at 9202 Barker Cypress in Cypress, has changed hands. Tenants include Starbucks, Chipotle and Verizon. Marcus & Millichap handled the sale.
Stoney Creek Center, a 29,614-square-foot center at 1420 Katy Flewellen Road in Katy, has been sold. Marcus & Millichap represented the seller.
RCI Hospitality Holdings announced plans to open three company-owned Bombshells in the Houston area, starting with a bar/restaurant at 14191 Northwest Freeway. Locations are planned in Pearland in August and on Interstate 10 in early 2018.
