Foreman signs rookie deal
Rookie running back D’Onta Foreman signed his contract with the Texans on Saturday.
Foreman, a third-round pick whose four-year contract is worth $3.259 million, was the last of the Texans’ seven unsigned draft choices.
Foreman, received a signing bonus of $759,484. His base salaries are $465,000, $588,500, $678,500 and $768,500.
Foreman, represented by Select Sports Group, participated in the Texans’ offseason program that ended Wednesday and made a good impression on his coaches and teammates.
The Texas City native will report to training camp next month and compete for playing time behind Lamar Miller.
In his only season as a starter at the University of Texas, Foreman rushed for 2,028 yards and 15 touchdowns.
