Dion Deichert specializes in Fort Bend County area
Mark Twain said, “Buy land. They ain’t making any more of it.”
“There is no better investment than to own your own home. I do not know of any real estate values that have gone down long term,” said Dion Deichert, a Realtor with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Anderson Properties.
In Katy, west Houston, Fulshear, Sugar Land and Richmond, this holds true, as most of these areas are in Fort Bend County, one of the fastest-growing areas in Texas. These are also the areas in which Deichert specializes. He has called Katy home for over two decades.
“I also represent clients within the Loop. There are a variety of styles in that market,” Deichert said.
The Katy Independent School District is an anchor for the phenomenal growth Katy has experienced over the last 20 years.
“When we moved to the Katy area, there was only grocery stores like Gerlands, Albertsons and Walmart. Now there are several hospitals, dozens of schools, and hundreds — perhaps thousands — of retail and dining options,” Deichert said.
This is also a good time to buy in this area, as inventory is available in all price ranges and styles.
“It is a buyer’s market now with sellers competing to get the attention of buyers, which is unusual this time of year,” he said.
Deichert hails from Fargo, North Dakota, and moved south to attend college. He and his wife of 32 years chose Katy when they were transferred to Houston by a previous employer.
“We chose this area for the excellent school system. My wife and I have five children, all educated in Katy ISD,” he said.
Deichert has been in real estate for more than 20 years.
“Real estate was a natu-
ral transition from my prior career, which was focused on families being relocated for work and needed shortterm corporate housing,” Deichert said.
He also worked as a district and regional manager, responsible for budgets, financials, marketing and sales efforts. These skills are just a few that his clients appreciate about his experience and knowledge.
Deichert is an awardwinning Realtor, which began in his first year as rookie of the year, and the awards have continued.
He also is a Certified Negotiation Expert, Relocation Specialist and has his broker’s license.
“I focus on my clients’ needs, and putting myself in their shoes,” Deichert said.
