Amid troop surge, another Afghan attack

-

On Thursday, the Trump administration announced that it will send nearly 4,000 additional U.S. forces to Afghanistan, hoping to break a stalemate in a war that has now passed to a third U.S. commander in chief. On Saturday, seven U.S. service members were wounded in an insider attack by an Afghan soldier. Last Saturday, three U.S. soldiers were killed and another wounded by an Afghan soldier during a joint military operation. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack.
