Elyson’s Rorick Kitchen cafe welcomes summertime with poolside service

A popular spot for Elyson residents and visitors, the community’s Rorick Kitchen cafe is welcoming summer with new poolside service, extended hours, and new menu items including wine, beer and take-home dinners for four.

Located at Grand Parkway and FM 529 in the Katy Independent School District, Elyson offers new homes priced from the mid-$200,000s to $600,000s.

Rorick Kitchen offers beers from Katy’s own No Label Brewing Co., along with selections from Southern Star Brewing in Conroe and a variety of wines.

New summer menu items include burger salad, brunch croissant and caprese sandwich, along with six varieties of rustic flatbread pizzas.

Fresh handmade burgers are another popular menu item.

Rorick Kitchen is also offering dinner packs to go on Wednesdays, with pre-orders due the previous day at noon. Priced at $28, the packs feed four, with a new menu each week. A recent pack featured Tuscan chicken spaghetti, sunset salad, Parmesan bread rounds and brownies.

Elyson residents can enjoy all of the cafe’s offerings with the added convenience of new poolside service. They can enjoy their refreshments and watch TV on the covered patio at Rorick House, or take them back to the adjacent pool area, where they can relax under the pergolas or at the umbrella-shaded tables.

Open seven days a week, Rorick Kitchen has extended weekend hours, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and noon-6 p.m. Sunday. Weekday hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Rorick Kitchen is a refreshing place for home shoppers to relax after they’ve toured the community’s Model Home Village, featuring 10 fully furnished model homes. It’s inside of Rorick House, a community center that also serves as Elyson’s visitor welcome center.

Elyson offers new homes by Chesmar, Darling, David Weekley, Highland, Perry, Pulte, Trendmaker and Westin, and it will ultimately have more than 750 acres of recreational amenities and natural open space.
