Blaze damages storage building on northwest side

A storage building went up in flames early Saturday in northwest Harris County.

Heavy flames in a small mobile trailer drew firefighters to the scene around 5 a.m., according to authorities.

The blaze damaged an open garage structure and a trailer that was home to one man who worked for a brick company on the property.

Neighbors in the residential area watched as firefighters quickly extinguished the flames.

The man who lived there wasn’t home at the time, and there were no known injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Harris County Fire Marshal.
