Carjacking victim injured by gunfire likely to survive

A carjacking victim injured by gunfire was discovered late Friday at a Southbelt-area apartment complex.

The man arrived at the Green Arbor Apartments after leaving work when someone shot him and stole his car, according to Houston police.

Officers responded to Sabo Road at White Clover Drive in far southeast Houston around 11:30 p.m. and found the injured man in the parking lot.

The victim, whose name was not released, was taken to an area hospital and is expected to survive.
