Warren Hamilton Beard went to be with his Lord and his beloved wife of 55 years Sheila. Warren was born July 26, 1926 in Battle Creek, Michigan. He grew up in his family home of Virginia, playing and working in the Blue Ridge Mountains which he loved so much.

He served 8 years in the military during WWII. He met the love of his life Sheila in Houston, Texas and they were married at 3rd Presbyteri­an Church in The Heights on January 13, 1953.

Warren was devout Christian. He was a Tool and Die Maker by trade, a truck driver, hay farmer and an inventor; as well as a business owner of a Machine shop, a Gas Station, Restaurant, Country Store, and a small-town Newspaper.

He volunteere­d as an ambulance driver and EMS for the Sargent Fire Department. He belonged to the VFW, Kilroe’s Crew, and the Independen­t Order of the Forrester.

He is preceded in death by his wife Sheila Grace Beard, father Warren Beard, mother Clara Beard, sister Ruth Taggart, and brother Mommand Beard.

He is survived by his 5 and spouses;John & Hattie Russom, Larry & Janie Russom, Sherry & Bates Richmond, Denise & Ernest Harris, Terry & Vincent Smith. 13 grandchild­ren, 13 great grandchild­ren and 1 great-great grandchild.

A celebratio­n of his life will be Thursday, August 17, 2017 at 2:00pm with visitation from 12:00 –2:00pm
