Foodie event spotlights Houston restaurants
Nearly 40 of Houston’s best restaurants will be ready to serve some of the city’s tastiest bites when the Houston Chronicle hosts its fourth annual Culinary Stars event Sept. 14.
Culinary Stars is where Alison Cook’s 2017 Top 100 Restaurants list will be unveiled. It’s also where foodies can sample dishes from restaurants that showcase Houston’s diverse culinary scene. Fine dining, fusion, Italian, Mexican, barbecue, Japanese, Chinese, seafood, Greek, steakhouse, French, Pakistani, Indian, Southern and Latin — all will be represented at the dine-around accompanied by wine from 20 estates.
A limited number of tickets are still available; the event, 6:30-9 p.m. at 4747 Southwest Freeway, typically sells out. General admission is $100; VIP tickets are $150 and allow early access (5:30 p.m. entry), a larger tasting glass and an autographed copy of the list, which will be delivered to print subscribers the following day.
