RETAIL WRAP 85ºC Bakery Cafe chain heats up a new spot on the west side
85°C Bakery Cafe has opened a 2,401-square-foot store at 1027 Blalock. The company opened a flagship 5,886-square-foot bakery and coffee shop at 9750 Bellaire in July, the 1,000th worldwide for the chain.
Burgerim, a gourmet miniburger franchise, has leased 1,800 square feet in The Shops at Ten Oaks II Shopping Center at 18002 Park Row at Barker Cypress. Jesse Hernandez and Stephen Pheigaru of Hunington Properties represented the landlord. The chain opened its first Texas location in The Boardwalk at Towne Lake development near U.S. 290 and Barker Cypress.
Salata announced a new location at Westlake Marketplace, 14237 East Sam Houston Parkway North, in northeast Houston. Karim Haji is the franchisee. The location represents the 35th for the salad bar chain in the Houston area and the 68th nationwide.
Next Level Urgent Care plans to open its ninth Houston area location in the Kroger-anchored Cullen Crossing at FM 518 and Cullen in Pearland. Jennifer Raymond of JPR Commercial Real Estate represented the clinic. James Namken with Weitzman represented the landlord, Silverlake Village LP.
Danny Nguyen of DN Commercial assisted a group of dentists led by Dr. C. Nguyen in the purchase of a 3,354-squarefoot retail building at 2445 Eldridge Parkway at Westheimer for $1.4 million. The seller was not disclosed.
New Smart Phones, a Sprint Solutions dealer, has leased 1,680 square feet at Market Street Shopping Center, 11013 Market St. Rick Gutierrez of Retail Solutions represented the landlord. Jeff Brock of Silvestri Investments represented the tenant.
Pet Supermarket has leased 8,000 square feet in Brazos Town Center, at U.S. 59 and FM 762, Rosenberg, from NewQuest Properties. Bob Conwell and Meredith McLeod Cobb of NewQuest Properties represented the landlord. Debbie Adams of Edge Realty Partners represented the tenant. The store will anchor a new 20,500-square-foot building in phase II, where construction is underway for Blue Lion Salon Studios (10,200 square feet) and Five Below (9,959 square feet).
Infinity Guitars has leased 1,500 square feet in a center at Memorial Drive and North Kirkwood. Bob Conwell and Josh Friedlander of NewQuest Properties represented the landlord, RPI Management.
