WHEN THE TEXANS RUN
The Texans don’t run as well as the Chiefs, but they’re no slouches, ranking fifth in rushing. Lamar Miller (257 yards) and D’Onta Foreman (114) share the heavy-duty work. Deshaun Watson has 148 yards rushing, more than any quarterback in the league. Miller (3.8) and Foreman (3.4) don’t have impressive averages because the line has struggled. The best showing by the linemen was against Tennessee when they did some serious pancaking, including on the second level. The Chiefs are 20th against the run. If they can handle the run with six in the box, they’ll have more players for coverage. If their front seven is stout, the Texans may be unable to get a push. The Chiefs have to be prepared for Watson to run the read option and QB draws.
