As the baby boomers continue to age, more and more seniors are choosing to move back in with their children. In a study by the Pew Research Center, 49 million people are now living in a multigenerational home.
Furthermore, it is no secret that more kids are moving back home. According to another study by the Pew Research Center, 40 percent of young adults live at home with their parents. With these numbers, it should come as no surprise that more people are choosing to add space to their existing home rather than taking on the task and expense of moving.
