U.S. expels diplomats from Cuba

The United States on Tuesday expelled 15 Cuban diplomats amid accusation­s of sonic attacks on American diplomats in Cuba. The expulsion of Cuban diplomats comes after the U.S. ordered nonessenti­al American diplomats to return home from Cuba. Officials say they believe U.S. diplomats have been targeted, perhaps with a sonic weapon, causing health issues including nausea, hearing loss, headaches, cognitive issues and fatigue. Cuba has denied involvemen­t in the alleged attacks. The Cuba State must Department­provide greater says assurances of safety before regular diplomatic operations can resume.
