Condemned inmate escapes death penalty
On Tuesday, condemned inmate Duane Buck escaped death row by admitting guilt in the shooting rampage that killed two and injured two others. The deal was the third Harris County death penalty case stemming from a successful appeal resolved with a plea bargain.
