Mavligit: ‘Time is of the essence in this business’
Almost every industry or non-profit has a celebratory month. Yet, there is not a month to celebrate the real estate industry, and it might be time to consider one.
Most Realtors work very hard — usually all hours, from early morning to late into the night, seven days a week.
“We change people’s lives in a very big way and really care about helping our clients get the best possible outcome,” said Emelie Mavligit, a Realtor with John Daugherty, Realtors.
Mavligit, a Houston native, hit the ground running in real estate 2½ years ago and going strong in helping her clients today.
“I feel very fortunate to have finally found my true passion. I have never had a day I did not enjoy, no matter what the day brings,” Mavligit said.
Prior to real estate, Mavligit spent 10-plus years in public relations and marketing, and a few years in the oil and gas industry.
“I no longer wanted to be chained to a desk, continue business traveling, and events late into the night. I wanted to do something that made a difference in people’s lives. I also wanted to know if I worked hard and did my best, providing top-notch personal service, then my clients would be happy and I’d have a livable wage,” Mavligit said.
Mavligit’s previous careers benefit her real estate clients because she honed her communication and marketing skills and learned the importance of building relationships.
Her main focus areas are inside the Loop, the Heights, Garden Oaks, Oak Forest and Spring Branch.
Mavligit is an awardwilling Realtor, with honors such as being John Daugherty, Realtors’ “Rising Star” in 2016 and recently named Houston Top 20 Under 40 Rising Stars in Real Estate for 2017.
Education and industry/market knowledge are important to her. Mavligit obtained six certifications in her first 18 month in the industry.
“I love people and I genuinely care about my clients, and they know they are my priority. Most become personal friends. I always answer my phone and email because time is of the essence in this business. I am a straight shooter and very direct, so I think my clients really appreciate that and trust me. Real estate truly excites me every day,” Mavligit said.
