Family Dollar store employee shot to death

-

An employee was shot Friday at a north Houston Family Dollar store, according to the Houston Police Department.

The person was shot shortly after 10 p.m. at the store in the 7600 block of Jensen, said officer Todd Tyler with HPD Homicide Division.

The employee was pronounced dead at a local hospital. Several employees were inside the store at the time of the shooting, but no one else was injured.

The two men, both in their 20s, believed to be involved fled the scene. One man was wearing a gray hoodie and the other was wearing a black and white hoodie, Tyler said.

Police are trying to determine what led to the shooting.

“We’re trying to get video and maybe that will give us a little more indication of what happened,” Tyler said.
