TODAY THE WOODLANDS TOWNSHIP FALL FESTIVAL
The Woodlands Township will host its first annual Fall Festival from 2 to 6 p.m. today at The Recreation Center at Rob Fleming Park, 6464 Creekside Forest Drive, The Woodlands. The event will feature live music, inflatables, crafts, face painting, a petting zoo and much more! The event price is $5 per person entry; children 6 months and under free.
NOV. 14 PANCAKES WITH SANTA
The Woodlands Children’s Museum will be filled with inviting aromas, sights and sounds the morning of Saturday, Dec. 9, when it presents Pancakes with Santa. Activities are set for 8-11 a.m. at the museum, 4775 W. Panther Creek Drive, Suite 280. Tickets for Pancakes with Santa are priced at $30 for children and $15 for adults. Reservations are required. Museum members may order their tickets on Nov. 14-16 by calling 281-465-0955, and non-member visitors can begin purchasing tickets Nov. 17.
NOV. 16 “MARKET STREET IN LIGHTS” CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTING
Market Street-The Woodlands will kick off the holiday season when its soaring, 70-foot Christmas tree, synchronized to twinkling lights and holiday music, debuts Thursday, Nov. 16 at 6 p.m. as part of the shopping, dining and entertainment destination’s “Market Street in Lights” tree lighting celebration. As part of the evening’s festivities, which take place until 9 p.m., one deserving family or individual, nominated as the 2017 Official Lighting Luminary, will light the tree in front of the cheering crowd.
HOLIDAY CARRIAGE RIDES AT MARKET STREET
The romance tradition, of holiday charm horsedrawn and carriage rides return to Market Street, starting after the Market Street in Lights Celebration, Nov. 16, as the perfect way to cap off a holiday evening with the entire family or as a couple. Throughout the holiday season, horsedrawn holiday carriage rides will meander on a scenic path amidst Market Street’s twinkling lights and holiday sounds at 9595 Six Pines Drive. Market Street’s horse-drawn holiday carriage rides service guests on a first-come, first serve basis. Pony cart rides operate from 5 - 8 p.m. Nov. 18 and 25 and from 2 - 5 p.m. Nov. 26. Horse and carriage rides available by reservation only on Nov. 17-19, 24 and 26. Tickets for a 5-8 minute “short ride” around Market Street are $10 per person and $5 for children with a paying adult. DEC. 2 ANNUAL ANGEL GIFT MARKET
The Gift Market will be held this year on Saturday, Dec. 2 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 3 from 8:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church, 3901 S. Panther Creek Dr., The Woodlands. This year will feature two artists: Heshima Kenya’s beautiful scarves with many new designs and Diyar, a Lutheran-based group from Bethlehem, Palestine, who create glass ornaments of recycled glass. Many contain stained-glass from churches damaged during the Six-Day war.
