Miss Whitney Chandler Easterling Weds Mr. Joseph Bradford Sharman
Miss Whitney Easterling and Mr. Joseph Sharman were united in marriage on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at the Chapel of Houston Oaks Country Club at 4:30pm in the afternoon. The double ring ceremony was officiated by Reverend Leo R. Schuster, III of City Church Houston. Music for the ceremony was provided by vocalist Adrian Michael and Richard Brown Orchestra. A reception immediately followed at the Pavilion of Houston Oaks with music and entertainment provided by Emerald City Band.
On the eve of the wedding the parents of the groom hosted a Rehearsal Dinner at The Dunlavy.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James McQueen Easterling, Jr. of Houston. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Royal Maurice Galvin of Beverly Hills, California and the late Mr. and Mrs. James McQueen Easterling of Corpus Christi, Texas.
The groom is the son of Mr. John Lancaster Sharman and Mrs. Bess Baker Wilson. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Rex Gavin Baker, Jr. of Houston, Texas and the late Mr. and Mrs. James William Sharman of Houston, Texas.
Escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a stunning gown designed by Mira Zwillinger from Joan Pillow Bridal. The ivory organza gown, adorned with white guipure lace and intricate bead work, featured an illusion neckline and open back. The radiance of the gown was perfectly accented by shimmery details. It was an impressive display of sparkle. To complement the gown, the bride wore a custom cathedral length veil, embellished with guipure lace and beading. The bride carried a joyful bouquet of peonies, ranunculus, dahlias, Juliet garden roses and other seasonal flowers.
Serving as her matron of honor was her sister, Kelley Hawkins, of Austin, Texas. Bridesmaids were Jacqueline Marshall, Peyton Silva, Caroline Thomas, Christina Fondren, Mary Ann McBroom, Kirkland Fudge, Avery Miller, Mary Catherine Sharman, and Madeline Hawkins. The House Party included Rachel Clary Walden, Emily Kuhn, Nicole Francis, Kate Easterling, and Leslie Easterling. Serving as flower girls were Reese and Sloan Easterling.
Mr. John Lancaster Sharman, Jr. served the Groom as Best Man. Groomsmen included Cooper Morris, Jeff Jackson, Andrew Senter, Justin Dzik, Price Monroe, Will Grundy, Phillip Traylor, John Crain, Nick Adair, Cash Cameron, Charley Sharman, Jeff Williams, Jay Kelley, Rogers Crain, Christian Easterling, and Brandon Easterling. Serving as Ushers were Thomas Hixon, Simon Feinsilver, Jordan Smith, Bo Bowen, and John D. Hawkins.
Whitney is a 2008 graduate of Memorial High School in Houston. She attended The University of Texas at Austin and graduated in 2012 with a degree in Spanish and Business Foundations. She is a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. In her senior year she was honored as Head Cowboy Sweetheart for the Texas Cowboys.
Joe is a 2005 graduate of Episcopal High School in Houston. He attended Texas Christian University and graduated in 2009 with a degree in Finance. He is a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity.
Following their honeymoon in Barbados and The Grenadines, the couple will reside in Houston, Texas.
