Age 70, passed away suddenly on November 22, 2017 of cardiac arrest. Martin was born in Orange County, Ca. and grew up in Houston. He was in the lst graduating class at Robert E. Lee High School -1965 and has served on the Board of the Lee Alumni Associatio­n and as President in 2014. He attended Texas Tech then graduated from the University of Houston. Martin was very proud of his military service first serving in the Marine Corp and then in the Coast Guard Reserve until retirement. He began his career in Finance/Credit for Rice Food Market, Sakowitz and Neiman Marcus, however most of his career was as a Financial Advisor with various brokerage firms and finally with LPL Financial Services the last 18 years. A strong believer in community service, he served as President of the Ventura Pier Rotary Club and as CFO for Goodwill while living in Ventura, Ca. He was a past President for the Galleria Rotary Club 2012-2014 and as Assistant Governor 2012-2014. Martin loved to tell a great story, had an infectious laugh and enjoyed fixing a great meal with good wine. He was guided by his strong faith in God and service before self.

He is survived by his wife Ginger (Virginia) RobertsBai­ley, daughter Dashelle Hobert and grandson Zachary Hobert, step-son Travis Tedrow (Stormy), and Teagan and Taylor Tedrow and dear friends Carla and Trey Shanklin.

Donations can be made to Citizens for Animal Protection or Be An Angel . A Memorial Service is planned for Monday, December 4th at 11:00 at Grace Presbyteri­an Church ( Beltway 8 & Ella Lee ) in the Chapel following with reception in the fellowship hall.
