Worley Ovid Bryan, Jr., 86, passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2017, due to complicati­ons from ALS.

W.O. was born on November 4, 1931 in Houston, Texas. He attended Reagan High School and the University of Houston. W.O. (as he liked to be called) served in the United States Air Force from 1950 until 1954 and attained the rank of sergeant. After his military service, W.O. became a Master Plumber. In addition to his plumbing skills, he was also a talented woodworker and created stained glass projects. W.O. was active in various fraternal organizati­ons and served as the past Commander of American Legion Post 560, as well as the Moose Lodge. He was an avid fisherman.

W.O. was preceded in death by both of his parents, his sister Clara Bowles, and his half-brother J.E. Bryan. He is survived by his companion of thirty years, Joanne Alford; son James Bryan and his wife Sylvia; son Donald Bryan; daughter Cheryl Franke and her husband Ricky, grandson James Matthew Bryan and granddaugh­ter Rachel Franke.

A visitation for W.O. will be held Thursday, December 7, 2017 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Pat H. Foley & Company, 1200 W 34th St, Houston, Texas 77018. A funeral service will also be held at Pat H. Foley & Company on Friday, December 8, 2017 at 11:00 AM with burial to follow at 12:45 PM at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, Texas 77038.
