ATTEND VARIETY OF SERVICES FOR CHRISTMAS EVE AT CHRIST CHURCH CATHEDRAL

Christ Church Cathedral invites the Houston community to any of its four services celebratin­g the advent of Christ on Sunday, Dec. 24, at 1117 Texas Ave. at Fannin.

Come experience the powerful joy of celebratin­g Christmas surrounded by the poinsettia-banked, intricatel­y carved rood screen, the gleaming candlelit altar, the striking stained glass, and the voices of the congregati­on and the Cathedral’s tremendous choirs filling the space with favorite carols.

Our services include a children’s pageant (4 p.m.), Spanish language (6 p.m.), the Parish Choir (6 p.m.) and the magnificen­t Cathedral Choir at 11 p.m.

4 p.m. Family Service, Holy Eucharist, Rite II, and the Christmas Play (child care is available)

6 p.m. Festival Eucharist, Rite II, in Spanish (childcare is available)

7:30 p.m. Organ prelude 8 p.m. Choral Eucharist, Rite II, with the Parish Choir (childcare is available)

10:30 p.m. Cathedral Choir prelude

11 p.m. Festival Eucharist, Rite I, with the Cathedral Choir

Christ Church Cathedral welcomes all people as they are. It is recommende­d to come early to secure a seat.

Free parking is available in the Cathedral Garage on San Jacinto Street..
