James hits milestone in Cavs’ win

CLEVELAND — LeBron James had 29 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists for his 60th career tripledoub­le, and the Cleveland Cavaliers beat the shorthande­d Utah Jazz 109-100 on Saturday night

James had his fifth triple-double of the season and third in his last four games. He had 10 points in the fourth quarter, was 9-of-15 from the field and 10-of-10 at the foul line.

“I feel good,” James said. “I mean, this is my 15th year, but this is one of the best years I’ve had as far as how I feel and I want to continue that.”

Cleveland has won 17 of 18 overall and 11 straight at Quicken Loans Arena.

Center Rudy Gobert (sprained ligament and bone bruise in left knee) and forward Derrick Favors (left eye laceration) were out for Utah. Both were injured Friday night in a win in Boston.

Rookie Donovan Mitchell led the Jazz with 26 points, going 10-of-15 from the field. Utah made 17 of 34 3-point attempts. SPURS 98, MAVS 96

LaMarcus Aldridge had 22 points and 14 rebounds as San Antonio scored the final 13 points of the game, rallying for a victory over visiting Dallas.

Maxi Kleber had 21 points and Dirk Nowitzki added 19 for Dallas in the final regular-season matchup between the Southwest Division rivals. KNICKS 111, THUNDER 96

Carmelo Anthony got the cheers but New York got the win, shutting out its former All-Star in the second half and beating Oklahoma City in Madison Square Garden for its fourth straight victory.

Michael Beasley tied his season high with 30 points, and Doug McDermott, one of the players acquired for Anthony, added 11 of his 13 after halftime to help the Knicks surge.

Anthony scored 12 points in the first half but was 0-for-5 thereafter.

He made a 3-pointer for the Thunder’s first basket of the game after a warm welcome back to the arena where he spent six years, finishing 5-of-18 from the field.

“It’s a bitterswee­t feeling for me, coming back here knowing the goal that I had and what I wanted to accomplish here and falling short in that category,” Anthony said.

Russell Westbrook had 25 points, seven rebounds and seven assists for the Thunder. CELTICS 102, GRIZZLIES 93

Kyrie Irving scored 20 points, Jayson Tatum had 19 points and nine rebounds, and Boston pulled away in the fourth quarter to win at Memphis.

Marc Gasol led Memphis with 30 points and 10 rebounds. HEAT 90, CLIPPERS 85

Josh Richardson scored a career-high 28 points to help Miami beat visiting Los Angeles.

Heat coach Erik Spoelstra became the franchise’s victory leader with 455, passing Pat Riley. Spoelstra is only one of two active coaches in the NBA with at least 450 wins with their current team, joining San Antonio’s Gregg Popovich. SUNS 108, WOLVES 106

In Minneapoli­s, Isaiah Canaan hit three free throws with 6 seconds to play in his first game with Phoenix as the Suns rallied to beat Minnesota.

Karl-Anthony Towns led Minnesota with 28 points and 11 rebounds for his league-leading 24th double-double. BLAZERS 93, HORNETS 91

CJ McCollum had 25 points and Damian Lillard flirted with a tripledoub­le as Portland won at Charlotte for a third straight road victory.

Lillard had 18 points and 11 assists.

Nic Batum had a season-high 23 points for the Hornets.
