JOYCE MAHANAY BIEDERSTADT

1924-2017

Joyce Mahanay Biederstadt, age 93, went to be with her Lord on Monday morning, the 11th of December 2017. She was born on the 18th of March 1924, in Alvarado, Texas, to Charles and Sally Gregory Mahanay. She and her twin sister were their “little angels.”

Joyce was married to C.M. Biederstadt, Jr. on the 1st of December 1945 in Dallas. They were married 68 years before his death on the 20th of June 2013.

Joyce has a daughter, Susan Joye Lee and a son, Michael Conrad Biederstadt and his wife Cathy; grandchildren: Ryan Barrett Lee and his wife Punam, Jennifer Joyce Cofield and her husband Ty, Carrie Anne Biederstadt, and Emily Joye Biederstadt; and a greatgrand-daughter, Katie Barrett Cofield. She is also survived by loving nieces and nephews and their families.

Joyce trusted Jesus Christ as her Savior her senior year in high school and served Him with her creative talents. She was an active member of Second Baptist Church. She was a faithful employee of Fluor Corporation.

All are invited to a celebration of her life at four o’clock in the afternoon on Monday, the 18th of December, in the chapel of Parkway Place, 1321 Park Bayou Drive in Houston.

At a later date, the family will gather for a private Interment at Glenwood Cemetery in Alvarado, Texas.
