Blue Onyx Bistro will open just inside Loop 610

Blue Onyx Bistro will open at 4720 Richmond, just inside Loop 610 near the Galleria, in February. The 150-seat steak and seafood restaurant is owned by executive chef David Chang and partners. It is part of Bernstein Investment­s’ Richmond Loop Plaza, which is undergoing renovation­s. Chang opened Redfish Seafood Grill in northwest Houston in 2003.

Agricole Hospitalit­y will expand to Montrose with the opening of Night Heron in the former Lowbrow space, 1601 W. Main, in February. The restaurant, led by executive chef Jacob Pate and general manager Julie Rogers, will serve light bites, entrees, sharable dishes and alcohol. Partners Ryan Pera, Morgan Weber and Vincent Huynh have other upcoming openings at Indianola, Miss Carousel and Vinny’s in EaDo in April or May. Current concepts include Coltivare, Revival Market and Eight Row Flint in the Heights. Weber is designing the 100-seat Night Heron with a light interior inspired by nature.

Dat Dog, a New Orleans hot dog chain, has leased 2,919 square feet at 5504 Morningsid­e in Rice Village for its first Houston location. Sherry Naquin Sanchez and Lauren Sheppard of Retail Solutions represente­d Dat Dog. Sky Pulford of Re/Max Westside represente­d the landlord. Opening is planned by fall.

Houston-based Capital Retail Properties has broken ground on La Marque Crossing, a 15,000-square-foot retail center at the northwest corner of Interstate 45 and FM 1764 next to the Lago Mar community. GNC and Leslie’s Pool Supplies have signed up for 1,440 square feet and 3,300 square feet, respective­ly. Identity Architects and Axiom Constructi­on are handling the project.

Camping World Holdings announced plans to open 69 former Gander Mountain stores, including the location at 19302 Interstate 45 in Spring, under the Gander Outdoors name by May. The Lincolnshi­re, Ill.-based outdoor and camping retailer acquired the assets out of bankruptcy in May.

Marco’s Pizza has leased 1,916 square feet in Kingwood’s Shops at Northpark, a developmen­t of Rubicon Realty Group at 1310 Northpark Drive. Inna Gallagher represente­d the landlord.
