ORCENITH FISHER BROWN

1933-2017

Orcenith Fisher Brown, age 84, of Houston, Texas, passed away on December 5, 2017. A graveside service is scheduled for 9:45 AM on Monday, January 15, 2018 at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Houston, at 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas 77038.

Mr. Brown was born on August 3, 1933 in Gatesville, TX to the late Johnnie Brown, Jr. and Myrtle Perryman Brown. After graduating from high school in 1951 in Gatesville, he enlisted in the United States Army in 1953, where he served in the 8th Infantry Division as a heavy weapons specialist. He completed two years on active duty and six years in the reserves. Following his time in the military, he worked for several years for Peat Marwick/KPMG in Houston.

Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, John Dayton Brown, III, and Lloyd Perryman Brown, Sr. and one sister, Mary Sue Brown. He is survived by several nieces and nephews: Jay W. Brown and Eric Brown of Houston, John Brown and James Fisher Brown of Gatesville, Melissa Brown of Snook, Texas, Lloyd Brown, Jr. of Los Alamos, New Mexico, and Elizabeth Brown Daniel of San Antonio.
