Donald Sehrt Huge, MD died January 12, 2018 of complicati­ons from the flu.

Dr. Huge was born on September 18, 1930 in New Orleans, LA to Mary Josephine Sehrt and August Frederick Huge.

He is survived by his wife, Martha Anderson Huge, his two daughters, Vaughan Huge Clark and her husband Les, Charner Huge Bolin and her husband Kelly. He is also survived by five grandchild­ren, Fuller Lyon Forage and wife Kara, Richard Neat Eddleman Clark and wife Anna Laura, John Lea Anderson Clark, Cullum Elizabeth Bolin, and Mabry Anderson Bolin. He was predecease­d by his parents and his brother August Frederick Huge.

Dr. Huge grew up in Houston. He graduated from The Kinkaid School, class of 1949. He graduated from Southern Methodist University class, of 1953, and Baylor College of Medicine, class of 1957. He was commission­ed in the United States Navy and served as Lieutenant JG Doctor for 2 years, after which he returned to Houston where he was a practicing Urologist for many years.

Known as “Da” to his grandchild­ren, his greatest love was his family. He was so much fun. He loved Hunt, Texas, where he went to camp as a child, San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, and sharing both with family and friends. He was a lifelong Episcopali­an.

A graveside service will be held at Glenwood Cemetery 2525 Washington Avenue at two o’clock in the afternoon, Thursday, January 18, 2018.
