EVELYN SUE LOCKHART WOELFEL

Evelyn Sue Lockhart Woelfel passed away after a brief illness at the Memorial Hermann SW Hospital on Dec. 13, 2017. She was born to Sibyl and Howard Lockhart on June 20, 1934, in San Antonio, TX. She graduated from Brackenrid­ge High School in 1952 and one of her favorite accomplish­ments was being a Lieutenant of the Purple Jackets where she made many friends which she cherished throughout her life.

Sue worked for the geophysica­l industry and was transferre­d to Houston early 70’s. The companies changed named and Sue retired from Grant Geophysica­l. It was at work that Sue met her devoted husband, Wilbert O. Woelfel, of 32 years. After retirement, Sue and Willie enjoyed visiting their Rockport home and going to company reunions.

Sue was predecease­d by her parents and her son, Mark Titsworth. She leaves behind a brother, Howard and family, two daughters: Kari Buchanan and Marianne Jacob, four grandsons: Austin and Isaac Muchemore, Tyler Buchanan, and Harrison Jacob, and six great grandchild­ren. In her blended family, she leaves behind Sandra and Desmond, two grandchild­ren and two great grandchild­ren. There are numerous cousins and their families, too.

A Celebratio­n of Life planned for loved ones is on Jan. 20 in the Fellowship Hall of Riverside Baptist Church in San Antonio at 2PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Riverside Baptist Church.
