ROBERT “BOB” MOORE

-

1941-2018

Robert “Bob” Moore was born on the 10th of June 1941, and passed away after a brief illness on Tuesday, the 16th of January 2018, at the age of 76.

Our beloved Bob left a legacy of faith, laughter and love behind to all of those he encountered. His abounding joy, strength and humor was apparent in every day and his gentle spirit and steady calm touched all of those around him. Bob married his high school sweetheart, Joanne, in 1961. They were each other’s rock, best friend and, as each of them expressed over 57 years of marriage, the love of each other’s life. Together, side by side, hand in hand, seeking the Lord daily, they loved each other through all of life’s challenges and adventures.

Bob was also a loving and generous father to his two daughters, Deanne Noel, along with her husband Robert Noel, and his youngest daughter Lisa Moore Hungerford. His children were the apple of his eye. Like our heavenly Father, he held his children close to his heart, leading them well in how to walk with the Lord, always being at the ready with a blessing and to encourage and support. Never ceasing to bestow his time upon them, he continually praised their God given talents and took pride in the adults they became. He nurtured and loved them well until his final moments.

In 1981, Bob founded his national executive search firm, Moore & Moore Associates, and took great pleasure and pride in placing thousands of people over the years into fulfilling careers. He was a founding member of First Interview, the nation’s largest executive search network. He was also active in the oil and gas industry. In 1984, the pride in earning his private pilots license brought decades of pleasure to Bob, Joanne and their children.

Bob also had the honor and joy of membership in the Colonneh Club, serving as secretary, treasurer, vice-president and ultimately President in the last days of his life. Bob was also a member of the Knights of Momus.

Bob desired that his reputation would always be in honor of the Lord and never failed to give God the glory for his success. He possessed a ready, warm smile and a quick, dry wit. Determined, attentive and loyal, he had a way of making people feel at ease; as if they had known him for years.

A man of wisdom and virtue, Bob loved the Lord above all else. He trusted the Lord and his integrity as a follower of Christ was uncompromising, even in the most difficult of times.

Bob was preceded in death by his mother, Fairy Mae Moore, his father, William R. Moore, and his uncle Charles Julian Moore, RADM.

In addition to his wife and daughters, Bob is also survived by his three beloved grandchildren: Annalee Noel, Carolyn Noel and Hogan Moore Hungerford.
