Love of the industry drew Emily Vidor to real estate

Today, with all that happened in Houston in the past year including Hurricane Harvey and the Memorial Day flooding, it is extremely vital to work with a full-time, knowledgeable real estate agent when buying or selling.

“Everyone needs an agent who has expert negotiation skills, contract knowledge, top-notch resources at their fingertips and market expertise. Working with an agent who possess all of these qualities will help for a smoother transaction,” said Emily Vidor, a Realtor with Greenwood King Properties.

Vidor, a native Houstonian, grew up in West University. After graduating from the University of Texas in Austin, she moved back to Houston and worked for an oil and gas law firm. She considered becoming a lawyer, but her love of real estate drew her to the industry.

“I always loved and continue to love driving around different neighborhoods admiring homes and the architecture. I also love working one on one with people. The fact that I could combine both of these loves in one career was perfect for me, and I have not looked back. Plus, I enjoy being out and about, and I thrive much more with face-to-face interactions, so I began my career in real estate.” Vidor said.

She has lived in many areas inside the Loop 610 prior to moving back to the West University area. The Inner Loop and the surrounding areas are her main focus area, which is her home territory.

“I love Houston and cannot imagine living anywhere else,” Vidor said.

It is always a good time to buy or sell inside the Loop, as it continues to be a sought-after area due to being close to town and a diverse host of many amenities.

She has been in real estate for approximately five years.

Vidor, for whom real estate is a 24/7 job, enjoys a busy schedule, and that schedule often begins first thing in the morning and sometimes ends late in the evening.

She is known for having an outgoing personality, being friendly and approachable, as well as having excellent communication skills. She is also driven to help her clients succeed in their real estate goals. She also does not stop until she has reached her clients’ goals.

“I cannot imagine doing anything else, and I find real estate incredibly rewarding getting to the finish line and seeing how happy my clients are,” Vidor said.
