MICHAEL CHARLES WINTER

1944-2018

Michael Charles Winter, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away in Houston on Monday, the 22nd of January 2018, at the age of 73. Michael was born on the 24th of June 1944, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Michael is preceded in death by his parents Marion and Mildred Winter; brothers Allen and Jerry Winter; sister Mary Kathryn Pittman; and granddaughter Olivia Winter Brooks. Michael is survived by his loving wife, Sheila Winter; his children Michelle Winter, Nicholas Winter, Clay Moeller, Kelly Brooks and her husband Steve; six granddaughter’s Lane and Aubrey Winter, KC and Macy Moeller, Avery and Emma Brooks; grandson Ashton Winter; brother Bill Winter and his wife Paula; sister-in-law Ramah Winter; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from noon until one o’clock in the afternoon on Tuesday, the 30th of January, in the library and grand foyer of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston.

The funeral service will then commence at one o’clock in the adjacent Jasek Chapel, where Rev. Michael Jarboe, Associate Pastor at Memorial Drive United Methodist Church, is to officiate.

The entombment service will follow, via an escorted cortege, at Memorial Oaks Cemetery in Houston.

In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests that memorial contributions be directed to Special Olympics, 1133 19th Street NW, 12th Floor, Washington, DC 20036-3604; or to the charity of one’s choice.
