- NICKOLE BOBLEY

An art maven’s weekly fix of the local arts scene: what to see, what to hear, what to do, who to meet and musings about how art makes people feel—their ArtFeel.

ArtMeet: Patron of the arts Gayle and Todd Kuoni who sponsored artist Valerie Theberge’s art bench “Bean.” This functional public art work covered in tiny glass mosaic tiles is a community favorite and can be found in Town Green Park near the Storybook Maze near the Library Building. Thank you, Kuonis!

ArtSee: The Woodlands Arts Council Student Scholarship Show which features the student art along with their artist statements in a specially-curated exhibition space from March 15-31 between noon and 6 p.m. on Thursdays and noon to 4 p.m. on Fridays on Saturdays. In this same exhibition space, The Woodlands Arts Council will also feature the Top 10 awardees from their annual Photo Competition, they hosted earlier in the year. www.thewoodlandsartscouncil.org.

ArtHear: Sarah Kelly School of Music’s top students perform at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 13 at Dosey Doe’s Big Barn. Kelly is a two-time Grammy nominated artist with intense talent that stands second only to her passion for teaching her students. Get your $12 tickets at www.doseydoe.com.

ArtFeel: The vast collection of public art in The Woodlands. Join ARTFEEL by liking and following The Woodlands Arts Council on Facebook. Only four more art benches to honor then we move onto the sculptures in the various villages! Art demands engagement. Join us in exchanging ideas about how art makes us feel.
