Beloved husband, father and grandfathe­r – James (Jimmy) Clarke passed away on March 20, 2018 at the age of 70, surrounded by loved ones after a hard fought battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife, JoAnn; children, James Henry Clarke III, Meredith Ortega, Gina Lynn, Lindsay Dillard, their loving spouses, seven grandchild­ren; and, siblings, Percy Gwinn, Baxter Clarke, John Clarke, David Clarke, Lulu Stavinoha, Terry Clarke, their spouses; and, many beloved nieces and nephews.

Born in Louisville, Kentucky on October 14, 1947 and preceded in death by parents, James Henry Clarke and Annie Louise Badham Clarke, Jimmy spent his childhood in Dallas and was a graduate of Highland Park High School before completing his undergradu­ate degree at Southweste­rn University of Georgetown. He went on to graduate from Baylor Dental School (Dallas), in 1974 and moved to Houston to pursue his passion for dentistry, beginning his career of 43 years in private practice.

His continuous journey of education earned him credential­s that inspired patients worldwide to seek his treatment. He was an esteemed Instructor and Educator of Implant Dentistry at the Misch Internatio­nal Implant Institute, the Las Vegas Institute; and, frequently traveled to The Dominican Republic to share his knowledge of Oral Implantolo­gy. His talent was a true gift. James touched the hearts and changed the lives of so many.

A driven profession­al; a man who dearly loved his family, friends, many colleagues and patients; and, his weekly golf round with good buddies at Northgate Country Club - Jimmy was an extraordin­ary man who will be dearly missed.

A celebratio­n of life will be held on April 13th at Christ the Good Shepherd (Spring, TX), at 11am. Reception to follow at Northgate Country Club.
