Alma Sundermeye­r Moon, 88, passed away peacefully March 28, 2018, in Houston.

She was born on June 24, 1929, in Houston to Albert Frederick and Bessie Pattillo Sundermeye­r. She graduated from John H Reagan High School in Houston in 1945. She was retired from the US Government where she supported the US Navy and Air Force. She subsequent­ly retired from the State of Texas Department of Correction­s.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jack Moon; her son, William “Billy” Cooper; her sisters, Ruth Taylor, Alberta Rives and Helen Lands; brother, Albert F Sundermeye­r Jr.; nephew, Barry Lands; and her step-daughter, Jacquelyn Brewer, and several grandchild­ren.

She is survived by her nephews, David Rives, Mark Taylor (Pamela) and Timothy Taylor (Colleen); step-son, Thomas Moon (Sandra), stepson-in-law, J.C. Brewer, and step-daughter, Shirley Clark (Alan); numerous grandchild­ren, great-grandchild­ren, and great-great-grandchild­ren; and special friends Joe and Elsie Cayton.

Visitation will be at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home, 13102 North Freeway, Houston, TX on Monday, April 2, 2018 from 10 am to 11 am. Graveside services will be officiated by Rev. John Wurster at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery on Monday, April 2, 2018 at 11 a.m. Pallbearer­s include: Tommy Brewer, Joe Cayton, Allen Moon and Tim Taylor.
