BALTIMORE ORIOLES
The club placed 2B Jonathan Schoop on the 10-day disabled list with a strained right side before Saturday's game against the Red Sox and activated RHP Alex Cobb.
Manager Buck Showalter said Schoop injured his oblique in his last at-bat in Friday's loss.
COLORADO ROCKIES
3B Nolan Arenado dropped his appeal and immediately will begin serving his five-game suspension from Major League Baseball in Washington for his part in Wednesday's brawl with San Diego.
Arenado charged the mound after Padres pitcher Luis Perdomo threw a pitch behind his back during the Rockies' 6-4 victory.
Rockies outfielder Gerrado Parra is appealing his four-game suspension and was in the lineup Saturday’.
OAKLAND ATHLETICS
Reliever Liam Hendriks landed on the 10day disabled list because of a right groin strain.
GAMES POSTPONED
The last three games of the series between the White Sox and Twins were called off because of a spring snowstorm in Minneapolis. No makeup dates have been announced.
The Tigers and Yankees were rained out. The teams will try to play a split doubleheader Sunday to finish this threegame series — but the weather then might not be any better.
Rain forced the postponement of Saturday's game between the Blue Jays and Indians. It was rescheduled for May 3, previously a day off for both teams.
