Tracy Ray Ludwick, age 50, passed away in Houston on Wednesday, the 11th of April 2018.

Born on the 18th of February 1968, in Houston, he graduated from Bellaire High School in 1986, where he was a baseball player and a Birdkeeper. He then attended Stephen F. Austin University before becoming a profession­al slow-pitch softball player.

Tracy was a longtime National Sales Director for SMC Industries, Inc., where he was treasured by customers around the globe. His passion for providing service to others extended to the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo, where for many years he was a member of the Safety and Corral Club Committees and the Coyote Cookers cookoff team.

Tracy loved to fish, play golf, and watch baseball – especially the World Series Champion Houston Astros. He was a devoted son and beloved as an uncle, as he adored his entire family. Tracy was a loyal member of West University United Methodist Church.

Tracy is preceded in death by his father, Jackie D. Ludwick. He is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Shelley Taylor Ludwick; his daughter, Karson Taylor Ludwick, and his son, Dunham Ray Ludwick; his mother, LaVerne Ludwick; his brothers, Kelly D. Ludwick and his wife Julie, and their sons Jack and Charlie; and Jody Travis Ludwick and his wife Sondra, and their son Luke; and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Jennifer and Mark Taylor, and their children, Zachary and Natalie.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from five o’clock in the afternoon until seven o’clock in the evening on Monday, the 16th of April, in the drawing room of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston.

The memorial service is to be conducted at eleven o’clock in the morning on Tuesday, the 17th of April in the Sanctuary of West University United Methodist Church, 3611 University Blvd. in West University Place, where Rev. Rusti Moore is to officiate.
