Miss Amy Ann Doggett and Mr. Payton Michael Schramm were united in Holy Matrimony on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at half past seven o’clock in the evening at Saint Michael Catholic Church in Houston, Texas. The double ring ceremony was officiated by Reverend Wayne Wilkerson, Pastor of St. Michael. Music for the ceremony was provided by Divisi Strings, which featured a string quartet, and The Fort Bend Boys Choir of Texas. Readers for the ceremony included Mrs. Susanna Heard Kane, family friend of the bride, and Mrs. Terri Deane Mitchell, family friend of the groom. Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception at the Houston Country Club with entertainm­ent provided by Simply Irresistib­le of Atlanta, Georgia and The Temptation­s originally from Detroit, Michigan. After the reception, an after-party was held in the Houston Country Club ballroom with music by Who’s Bad, The Michael Jackson Tribute Band of Los Angeles, California. On the eve of the wedding, the parents of the groom hosted a beautiful rehearsal dinner at the Petroleum Club of Houston.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Leslie Doggett, senior of Houston, Texas. She is the granddaugh­ter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Leo Flowers of Houston and the late Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Gene Doggett also of Houston.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Kurt William Schramm of Plano, Texas. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Richard Leland Dietz of Houston, Texas, Mr. Richard August Schramm of Quechee, Vermont, and the late Mrs. Daisy Schramm Sweet of Ithaca, New York.

Escorted by her father and presented in marriage by her parents, the bride wore an elegant beaded guipure lace trumpet gown designed by Isabelle Armstrong for Neiman Marcus. To complete her ensemble, Amy wore a custom cathedral length veil with lace matching the gown and carried a lush bouquet of ivory peonies and foliage. For the after-party, Amy chose a Mira Zwillinger gown featuring a fitted bodice with a natural waist embellishe­d with custom beading and embroidere­d in Swarovski crystals.

Serving as Maid of Honor was Shelby Mayer Johnson of Dallas, Texas. Bridesmaid­s included Kelley Anne Britt, Laura Carroll Cartwright, Sarah Theresa Christian, Rebecca Reid Doggett, Joan Baskin Ferguson, Kenner Smith Francis all of Houston, Texas, Elizabeth Eliot Dyess, Courtney Capri Neurohr, Anna Lee Ewell, Maria Cristina Hetheringt­on, Lillian Ann Jenevein and Isabel Leaman O’Neill all of Dallas, Texas, Sarah Adelaide Ehrlich of Washington, D.C., Grace Marie Grooms of Tyler, Texas, Lindsay Elyse Marsh and Katie Collins Miller of Austin, Texas, and Mary Adelaide Adler of Denver, Colorado. The bridesmaid­s wore formal gowns in various shades of blush. They each carried mixed bouquets of peonies, roses, spray roses, hydrangea and foliage.

Parker William Schramm of Austin, Texas, the groom’s brother, served as Best Man. Amy is a 2010 graduate of The Kinkaid School in Houston, Texas. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in Corporate Communicat­ions and a minor in Business Administra­tion. She is a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority. Amy is the Senior Recruiting Coordinato­r at the Doggett Equipment Services Group.

Payton is a 2010 graduate of Plano East Senior High School in Plano, Texas. He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2014 with a Bachelor of Business Administra­tion and a Master of Profession­al Accounting. He is a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. Payton is a licensed CPA in his third year at Ernst & Young in Dallas, Texas.

Following their honeymoon in Hawaii and Japan, Mr. and Mrs. Schramm will reside in Dallas, Texas.
