Luxury high-rise developers in Houston have their fingertips on the pulse of some of the hottest in-demand amenities residents are looking for when it comes to having access to everything within their immediate reach.

There’s no shortage of the creative approach when it comes to pleasing residents.

Get a once-in-a-lifetime view on the rooftop pool with a glass bottom suspended 40 stories above the ground at Market Square Tower, one of downtown’s highest residential towers. It’s also home to a virtual golf simulator, indoor basketball court and rooftop veranda. Intimate gatherings are covered with a movie room, shuffleboard, air hockey, foosball, and separate poker and billiards room.

Have a fashion crisis? Grey House, near the River Oaks District, offers access to a personal shopper for their residents to pickup a little something from nearby couture and designer boutiques.

It’s not uncommon to find special attention paid to pet lovers as well. Pet spas, dog-walking services, designated park spaces and accommodating terraces are all available. Mimosa Terrace, one of Houston’s pet-friendly condos, not only permits four pets in each residence with no limit in pet weight, they also have an exclusive pet-walking area, pet-relief areas and planters on terraces.

Kristina Houston with New Leaf Real Estate said new buildings in town have increased their amenity offerings to make life even more luxurious.

The Arabella, which Houston said is one the city’s best new buildings, greets residents and guests with a stunning lobby that resembles a giant crystal box with 22-foot ceilings. And that’s not all they have, Houston said.

“The amenities floor includes a starlight pool with Galleria views and a hot tub. There is also an indoor lap pool, sauna and state-of the-art fitness center. Entertain in the Resident Lounge with caterer’s kitchen, which flows to the outdoor kitchen, bar and Palm Deck with fire pit,” she said.

Residents can host overnight visitors in one of two Pieds-à-Terres for guests at The Arabella.

“This building was really meant to make life easy and simple for the residents. Nothing is missing,” Houston said.

Whether you’re an outdoor enthusiast or love to relax watching the sunset, builders have all your needs covered. There are sun shelves and pool cabanas with televisions at The Wilshire, and terraces with fireplaces at The Mondrian.

At 2929 Weslayan, residents have access to a 30,000-square-foot, eighth-floor outdoor living space with fireplace and unobstructed downtown views. They also can enjoy a 60-seat skyline lounge, grotto pool, wet deck with resort-style cabanas, master grilling stations and a raised fire pit with 360-degree seating.

Whatever it is you’re looking for in a luxurious high-rise lifestyle, you’ll find it in Houston.
