Miss Katherine Adair Galanski Weds Mr. James Mitchem Winget IV

Katherine Adair Galanski and James Mitchem Winget IV were united in marriage on Saturday, May 5, 2018, at half past five o’clock in the evening at St. Martin’s Episcopal Church in Houston, Texas. The double-ring ceremony was officiated by the Reverend Jonathan V. Adams of St. Martin’s. The service included readings by Stanley Adam Galanski, uncle of the bride, and Philip Charles Zitzmann Jr., uncle of the groom. The service included classical brass quintet and organ accompanim­ent, along with soprano and tenor solos of Panis Angelicus by Jan Cornelius, and Ave Maria by Angel Romero. Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception at the Junior League of Houston, with entertainm­ent provided by Memphis Soul. Preceding the wedding day festivitie­s, the groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at The Remington at the St. Regis Hotel.

The bride is the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Robert Galanski Jr. of Friendswoo­d, TX. She is the granddaugh­ter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Edwin Gatchel II of Louisville, KY and Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Robert Galanski Sr. of Houston, TX.

The groom is the eldest son of Mrs. Kristen Zitzmann Winget of Covington, LA, and Mr. James Mitchem Winget III of Mandeville, LA. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Charles Zitzmann Sr. of Covington, LA and Mr. and Mrs. James Mitchem Winget Jr. of Luling, LA.

Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a modest trumpetlac­e gown embroidere­d with peony detail, featuring a Bardot-fitted bodice that was compliment­ed by button back detail. The A-line skirt cascaded into a circular chapel train, with beautiful lace scalloping around the edges. She completed her look with a white satin-wrapped bouquet composed of a delicate blend of white peonies and blush-toned flowers, a soft spray of roses and greenery, and a touch of baby’s breath. The bridal party carried bouquets of white hydrangeas, light pink flowers and baby’s breath.

The bride’s sister, Patricia Mason Galanski of Friendswoo­d, TX, served as the Maid of Honor. Bridesmaid­s were Julia Anne Galanski of Ridgefield, CT, Lindsey Jo Edwards of League City, TX, Kelley Nicole Bergeson and Kelly Elaine Sanchez of Friendswoo­d, TX, Tory Alexandra Gosnell of Chesterbro­ok, PA, Katelyn Nicole Cotterell of Webster, TX, and Kristen Meinke of Birmingham, AL.

Members of the House Party included Jenna Rae Moncrief of Friendswoo­d, TX, Melissa Richelle Salinas of Texas City, TX, Kelley Easton Hayes of Brooklyn, NY, and Brianna Marie Dugan of Houston, TX. Miss Hunter Kate Foley served as the flower girl.

Ryan Patrick Lassus, of Mandeville, LA. served the Groom as Best Man. Groomsmen were Preston Luke Winget, brother of the groom, of Mandeville, LA, Rawley Lyon Webber of Baton Rouge, LA, Stephen Harrison Breaud of Houston, TX, Garret Lawrence Cannizaro, Brandon Michael Boudreaux and Patrick John Donnelly of New Orleans, LA, and Alexander Joseph Guinn of Jennings, LA.

Serving as ushers were Christophe­r Brechtel Ortte of Lafayette, LA, Kyle Joseph Forchetti of Stamford, CT, Cody Dwayne Edwards of League City, TX, and Christophe­r Scott Saloom of Dallas TX. Mr. Casen Cotterell served as ring bearer.

Katherine is a 2009 graduate of Friendswoo­d High School in Friendswoo­d, TX. She received her Bachelor of Science from Auburn University in 2014, where she majored in Child Life. She is a Certified Child-life Specialist and Animal Assisted Therapy Coordinato­r at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston, TX.

James is a 2009 graduate of Mandeville High School in Mandeville, LA. He received his Bachelor of Science from Louisiana State University in 2013, where he majored in Kinesiolog­y. He also received his Doctorate’s Degree with High Honors in Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in 2016. He is a Physical Therapist for Forman Health Services in Houston, TX.

Following a honeymoon in Thailand, Mr. and Mrs. Winget will reside in League City, TX.
