Sotheby’s International Realty hosts networking event in Austin

-

Sotheby’s International Realty recently hosted the first Texas Networking Event in Austin. Thirtyeight Martha Turner Sotheby’s International Realty agents attended the conference where agents from all over Texas and the major feeder markets to Texas convened to share valuable information pertinent to the 2018 real estate climate.

To kick off the event, Marilyn Thompson, president of MTSIR, along with a panel of other Texas brokerage leaders, discussed current trends in the real estate industry. The conference featured break-out sessions where agent-led panels shared strategies that have yielded success in a multiplicity of areas.

Walter Bering, the number one producer at MTSIR in 2017, spoke on “Marketing to your Sphere of Influence,” and Dee Dee Guggenheim Howes was tapped to give tips on “Converting Prospects into Clients.” Additional MTSIR professionals that were invited to share insight included Kellie Geitner, “Building Marketing Plans for Trophy Properties,” Jack Swonson, “Unique Agent Promotion,” Leigh Martin “Leveraging Farm and Ranch Buyers,” and Angela Chiang “Marketing to International Buyers.”

“Our Houston agents made valuable new connections with agents from important markets like Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, Ft. Worth and, of course, the Colorado ski resorts. The real estate professionals attending were treated to live music at incredible Austin homes, and honed their real estate skills at the multiple break-out sessions,” said Seita Jongebloed, MTSIR vice president, who presented breakout sessions on “Seven Risk-Defying Habits of Real Estate Agents” and “Stand-Out Negotiation Strategies.”

“It was an honor to represent Martha Turner Sotheby’s International Realty as a panelist at the very first TNE. These events leverage our power through the Sotheby’s International Realty network so that we may connect with other top Sotheby’s agents from around the world to better serve our clients,” said MTSIR agent Angela Chiang.

The informative weekend combined with colorful festivities, served as a perfect backdrop for these top professionals to mingle, meet new agents and gather new business ideas.
