Holden’s expat experience pays off for clients
As an expatriate from Scotland, Moira Holden, a Realtor with Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Gary Greene, not only understands but has also experienced the stress and frustrations of trying to understand another culture, including deciding the best place to relocate her family in such a large metropolis and working out the best school choices.

feel I can empathize with them,” Holden said.
After almost 20 years in the real estate industry, including experience as an international destination consultant, and 22 years in Houston, Holden knows Houston, the market, trends and how best to serve her clients.
Focus areas
Her main focus areas are inside the Loop, the Energy Corridor and Sugar Land, areas that she also has called home.
“A large percentage of my time is working with expats in these areas. All three of these areas have great schools — both local and private — and a wealth of beautiful homes at all price points.
“Plus, it is always a good time to buy or sell a home in these areas,” Holden said.
Prior to real estate, Holden worked in several management positions in the United Kingdom, where she honed her organizational and other skills. She also was a volunteer PTA president and spent seven years on the board of the Awty International School, which gave her insight into many different cultures. “I still call upon the friends and contacts I met in these other positions to introduce clients to someone new from their country,” Holden said.
Holden is also an award-winning Realtor, which includes being the No. 1 producer in her office for 10 years and the No. 1 producer four out of the last eight years with Better Homes and Garden Real Estate Gary Greene citywide. She also has attained her Master Certified Negotiation Expert.
Holden is known for her energy and working hard to meet her clients’ real estate goals. She loves meeting and helping people locally and around the world who are coming to Houston for the first time.
