Harvey-damaged Zammitti’s to reopen in Kingwood
Zammitti’s Italian Ristorante has signed a lease to expand to 3,412 square feet along the lake at Kings Harbor, 1660 West Lake Houston Parkway in Kingwood. The restaurant, owned by Eddie Ghazal, was damaged in Hurricane Harvey and will reopen once renovations are done around August. Brett Levinson with Weitzman represented the tenant. Adam McAlpine with McAlpine Interests represented the landlord.
Taco Cabana has opened at 6311 Garth Road in Baytown in the former Pollo Tropical space. The 4,013-square-foot restaurant has seating for 84 inside plus 20 on the patio. The restaurant is open around the clock.
Garden Oaks Shopping Center, at 3800 N. Shepherd Drive north of Loop 610, is getting a face-lift and about 12,000 square feet of additional retail space, Hartman Income REIT Management announced. Exterior renovations, including a new facade, are expected to be completed in late 2018. Lifesavers 24-hour Emergency Room will occupy 6,300 square feet. Dollar Tree will move to a remodeled 4,700square-foot site. Aldi will occupy a space on the north end of the shopping center next year. The three leases bring occupancy to 92.6 percent, and the center will have 8,514 square feet available for lease once renovations are complete. Pluckers Wing Bar will open a Cypress location at U.S. 290 and Skinner Road on May 14. It will be the 4th area location for the Austin-based chain, which was started in 1995 by University of Texas students.
2200 Baytown Group has purchased a 8.4 acres at 2200 N. Main St. in Baytown as the site of a retail and fuel center. Claire Sinclair of Claire Sinclair Properties handled the sale.
Highland Plaza, a 73,780square-foot shopping center anchored by 24 Hour Fitness at 1520 S. Mason Road in Katy, has changed hands. Matt Berry and Robbie Kilcrease with CBRE represented the seller. La Reyna Tortilleria has leased 1,500 square feet in the Cypress Shopping Center, 20303 FM 529, Cypress. Doug Freedman of United Equities represented the landlord, Fry-529 Development Group LP. Hunington Properties represented the tenant.
